I'm Jenny Wong and I'm running for re-election as Berkeley City Auditor.

Since initially assuming office in December 2018, I have taken on deep dive looks at some of Berkeley’s most pressing issues. Our office has examined street condition and funding, leases, staff retention and shortages, restaurant inspections, homeless response, fire inspections, and police department calls for service among others.  

We also established a whistleblower program for city employees to report waste or fraud and completed a fiscal condition analysis for the City, all while continuing to verify and process payroll. 

As an auditor for 25+ years, I’ve worked to elevate standards and produce quality work to improve City services. Since taking office, four reports have won national awards from the Association of Local Government Auditors.    

I’ve also worked to make our audits and departments’ responses to them more transparent and accessible to the community.

It has been an honor to serve Berkeley residents and I look forward to earning your trust and support for another term.
